Bolivia is home to the highest cities in the world. El Alto is the highest administrative city in the world at an altitude of 13615 feet (4150 meters). Although Spanish is the most spoken language in Bolivia, it also recognizes more than 30 other languages as its official languages, which makes Bolivia the Land of Languages. It is also one of the few places you could mine Ametrine, or Bolivianite, yellow and purple hexagonal stones formed from citrine and amethyst.
