Tony Montana

To kids nowadays, Tony Montana is solely the name of a song by Future that inspired artists from earlier 21 Savage and Gucci Mane through later Lil Pump and Blueface to produce so many mumble raps sick and tight that dominate the current hip-hop culture. But do you know who Tony Montana really is? Below are part of the lyrics of the song:
⠀⠀⠀⠀“I take over the streets,
⠀⠀⠀⠀ fresh off the banana boat
⠀⠀⠀⠀ I come straight from the east,
⠀⠀⠀⠀ where ‘people’ split your canteloupe
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just tell me where you wanna meet,
⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m coming with a gang of dope”
Just by these few lines in the first verse you could tell this Tony Montana is a pretty dope figure. To be honest, he is really the type of guys that everyone wanted to be back in the days.

Tony Montana is one of those rare figures who crosses racial boundaries, and even white men back in the days would admire despite his Hispanic identity. He is a fictional character, created in a 1983 movie called Scarface, who is a world-class Cuban criminal “fresh off the boat” living a fast life of cocaine, killing people he doesn’t like, and having all these gorgeous ladies coming for him. Left-wings may say, “Hey this guy is literally a bad representation of Hispanic Americans!” but what truly makes this captivating is his originality and characters.
In spite of his underprivileged and undereducated background, he never lets that become roadblocks. He is delusional about his own potential, and he overcomes every obstacle in front of him with his courage and street smarts. Also, he is a really traditional Hispanic man who values his family. He is also the type of decisive guy who never lets ladies come before his business – while you could argue that he would be objectifying women in that sense, you should admit that he is definitely one-of-a-kind, which makes him so distinctly outstanding to guys back then who were struggling to embark on their era.
Alas, we all wish we could be Tony Montana. Even if we couldn’t, we wish there was one in our time that could save us from all this stupidity.
By the way, Tony Montana is not a black Hispanic.
